"Thankfully the heatwave's over because after seeing some of the kit on bikers that I've stopped over the summer travelling round the Gower, it's frightening - T-shirts, shorts and flip flops.
Just last week, I dealt with a biker with an injury to his right knee where a stone had been flicked up from the car in front and went straight through his knee cap. Another biker had been stung on his leg by a bee, causing him to loose control of his bike and ending up in the hedge. Could have been avoided by wearing the proper kit. So even when it does get hot, make sure you wear minimum jeans, jacket, appropriate gloves and boots and, of course, a helmet."
