Now the weather's a bit brighter, people seem to be buying mopeds thick and fast with CBT (Compulsory Basic Training) riders throwing their machines around the roads.
Lots of bikes put away for hibernation because of the ice at this time of year but we still get the commuters and professional riders on the road.
You can tell santa's been round here. Lots of mini motors, Gopeds and scooters on the road ridden by youngsters with no experience, no training, no licence and no insurance.
I think this one thought he wouldn't be seen on a dark, winter's night but I did see a biker travelling through the centre of Neath on Saturday wearing nothing other than a crash helmet, pair of boots and Christmas tree lights wrapped around his body! Not a pretty sight.
Coming to the end of the season and even though there's fewer bikes on the road I've still managed to see one attempting to pull a wheelie at 60mph...
Saw two on a bike this month travelling more than 80mph along a single carriage road. Rider overtook cars that were stopped at a crossing waiting for pedestrians, went over the zig zag lines,

Gangs of riders on mopeds seem to be the 'in thing' this month. Schools are obviously out for the summer and hordes of 16-year-olds have got their machines ready to visit the beach.
BBQ season's here but that's no excuse for having a few drinks and then getting on the bike. One biker obviously forgot the drink/drive laws after a few beers.

The roads are clearer and visibility is better so lots of bikes out on the roads this month, particularly over the bank holiday weekends.
Events and ride outs start this month and it's the beginning of the BikeSafe season.
